“To prove that British manufacturing is alive and well, designer Jessi Baker and journalist Matt Hussey have created a project that catalogues all the UK’s makers. Provenance, launched in May, uses open data to show where products are made around the UK.“There are clusters of industry echoing back to old times,” said Ms Baker. “Cardigan used to have the largest denim factory in the world and now Hiut Denim is making jeans there again.
