From the heart

A new venture often ushers in a lifestyle change: late nights, hours pouring over accounts and relentless travel to suppliers. For Zeenah Shah however, there was no transition. Having worked for both fashion and interior design companies, the long hours and travel were everyday occurrences. What Shah didn’t have was a love for her work and a more direct relationship with the things she made and the people that bought them.[caption id="attachment_1771" align="aligncenter" width="2000"]

So, in 2009, after spending years working as a wedding dress and interior designer, she went solo. In just two weeks, she produced a collection of hand-printed homeware. Influenced by Scandinavian textiles and folk patterns, each one is hand printed on materials sourced from the UK and assembled in her studio in Hoxton, London.

“It’s important to me that I work closely with UK-based manufacturers and that everything is supplied from the UK.”
