A product must meet the following standards:
- Use sustainable farming methods that enhance soil fertility, biodiversity, and ecological balance.
- Ensure genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are not used in farming and production.
- Synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and chemical fertilizers must not be used at any stage.
- Any livestock must have access to outdoor grazing and organic feed.
- For processed foods, at least 95% of ingredients must be organic, and only approved additives can be used.
- Certified operators are subject to at least one mandatory annual inspection by an accredited certifying body.
